Adobe Photoshop: Part of the Adobe Creative Suite.I've seen others say this doesn't seem like an app for serious artwork, but can't back that up myself. Like Leonardo, it's minimal, and not free ($24.95). Sketchable - This looks to be Microsoft's officially blessed drawing app for the Surface line. Looking forward to trying this out and seeing if I can dispense with a keyboard without it affecting my mental flow. The good news is that it's a one-time payment, where some of the others are subscription-based (ugh). This isn't free ($39 during beta), and it remains to be seen whether it offers enough over the free programs to warrant a purchase. Leonardo - Saw the old post mention this and it looks really clean and minimal, which is perfect for a tablet. I was really impressed by it and don't think I'll need Illustrator again. Inkscape - Completely free vector drawing app that I've used lately to edit some SVG files for a website I'm working on. ![]() Krita - Completely free and I've been using this to good effect on my desktop with a Wacom Intuos 3. Dropped in here and saw the last time the topic was discussed was back in January, and the post was archived, so I'm adding a new post to see if there's any new info. I've already set up my coding environment, but am now sitting down to install some art applications and realized I have no idea what performs well with the Surface's pen. I just grabbed my Surface Pro 6 from the Costco deal, and even after just a day playing with it, I'm convinced at what a great machine this is.
